The Romanian Center for Modeling of Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (MORAS), is an academic research unit established as a result of the implementation of the POSCCE project 622/11.03.2014 according to HS. 136 of 24 July 2015 (ROF has been approved by Senate Decision No. 54/27 in April 2017). MORAS is operational within the Faculty of Food Science and Engineering with the scope of concentrating the professional experience and effort of the scientific community from the faculty to carry out the scientific research in the field of aquaculture.
The RDI activities are carried out in the fundamental field of ENGINEERING SCIENCES, correlated to the field of intelligent specialization in BIOECONOMY, as follows:
- Promoting sustainable, environmentally friendly aquaculture production systems.
- Developing consumer-oriented aquaculture technologies.
- Controlling aquatic pathologies through immunological approach.
