The main mission of MORAS Center is to promote fundamental and applied research in the field of aquaculture of recirculating systems by stimulating the collaboration, exchange of ideas and experience accumulated in this field by the academic community of the "Dunărea de Jos" University of Galaţi. MORAS Center is open to scientific collaboration between all relevant units in the country and abroad, on the basis of bilateral agreements or national and/or international programs.
MORAS Center aims, depending on the opportunities, to support the implementation, through technology transfer, of recirculating aquaculture systems and intensive aquaculture technologies developed within it at the level of economic and industrial units.
The vision of the MORAS Center considers:
- Approaching fundamental and applicative research directions for aquaculture industry and consumer needs.
- Development education and training programs adapted for current requirements of industry.
- Transfer of technical expertise to industry partners.
